"We are delighted to welcome Charlotte Walshe, Alison Vine, and Tom Asher to the board of Community TechAid. Each of them brings unique expertise, passion, and a shared commitment to our mission of fostering digital inclusion, protecting the environment, and empowering communities. Their insights and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to address the digital divide and build a more connected, equitable, and sustainable future"
-Linda Heiden, Chair & Founder
Charlotte brings almost 20 years of experience in charity governance, income generation and social impact.
Her role at national charity In Kind Direct drives a passion for services that meet immediate need, inform long term change, and are good for the planet.
As an Ambassador for the Digital Poverty Alliance, Charlotte champions digital inclusion and knows getting people online well is the foundation for better lives. Having grown up in south London, she is excited to join CTA as we look to grow and deliver even more impact.
Alison joins us in leading our efforts to amplify community voices and engagement. With a background in community work, mental health, healthcare, and creative arts, she brings extensive experience from roles in the public and charity sectors.
Her achievements include launching social prescribing projects in GP practices and managing volunteer programmes to improve wellbeing.
Holding qualifications in law, public health, and adult learning, Alison is deeply committed to social justice and addressing digital exclusion. As an autistic individual, she provides a valuable perspective, advocating for inclusivity and equity in all aspects of Community TechAid's work.
Tom is an experienced operations leader and advisor. He’s held senior people and operations roles at national and international mission-driven organisations and charities, including Anne Frank Trust UK, International Institute for Conservation, The Money Charity and The Spires Centre.
He is a trained opera singer and still sings professionally when he can.
Tom brings a decade of trustee experience, including serving on the boards of two Harris Academy schools and The Purcell Singers. In a professional capacity, Tom advises organisations on governance and board effectiveness. Tom has seen first hand how a lack of access to technology, as well as the skills to harness its power, disadvantages individuals and creates social division. He is passionate about addressing this divide and supporting the CTA team to help end digital isolation.
